I'm 51 And Have My Debrace Date YAY!!!

I'm truly excited. At my last ortho visit November 18, 2013 my Orthodontist said I've done so well and teeth "behaved" during my entire treatment that he moved my debrace date from February 2014 to December 16, 2013. This is the best Christmas present I've ever received. I don't know who is :jump: for joy more, me or my family :D. Time went by quickly and I'm going to miss my little silver friends :( but now each time I look in the mirror or now be in the pictures instead of behind the camera I'll have the biggest smile ever :BigGrin:

Congrats!! I also found out that i should be debraced the week of 2 Dec. i'll find out for dure at my next appt on Monday :lol: !

WoOhOo!!! I found out today that my debrace date is 5 Dec 13 versus Apr '14!! They took molds today for my upper retainer & will have a permanent bottom one! YaY, Us!!

This is great!!! My braces come off on 16 December 2013, they will take molds same day and I get my permanent retainer on bottom. My ortho debating (because of me) if permanent on top or removable/wear only at night. Anyone have any suggestions :?:

No suggestions as I am still in braces, but I will have permanent top and bottom plus removable for night time wear. Ortho says he takes no chances with people wearing/not wearing retainers and puts all his patients in top and bottom permanent. I imagine it's the most you could do to keep your teeth straight - other than wear braces forever :shock:
Had Damons (ceramic upper, metal lower) from June 27, 2013 - January 20, 2015
15-18 month sentence, official time in braces was 18 months, 3 weeks, 3 days

Thank you. I'm going to go by my ortho before my debrace appointment and have a long talk with him. This was my 2nd go round with braces. Don't want a 3rd go round :D
