Braces at 28, severe rotated incisor and shifted jaw w/ pics

Hey guys,
First of all, apologies for my English, I'm french, so if there's anything you don't understand, let me know
So quick stuff: I'm a french lady, 28, living in a little city mid of France
I have been browsing this forum a lot, reading all your journeys, and i thought maybe I should share mine too! In case it could help some of you!
I got braced on january 2016, five months ago! I have Damon Clear only on the top, will have the bottom when the top will get straight teeth lol
I need to get braced for TWO years, but I'm really happy to know I will have beautiful teeth and that I will smile without hiding xD
So the thing is that I have a front tooth that had a severe 90° rotation, and it did look ugly, I hated it since forever. I could say my main motivation to get braces was this only tooth (red arrows on the pictures). But when I had my first appointment with the orthondontist, I just realised (thanks to him) that I had other issues that I never paid attention to.
My bottom jaw is shifted on the left side, so my "mids" were not aligned. You will understand better seing the pictures, I draw the mids with red lines. Orthondontist told me I will need surgeried at the very beginning. And I was so scared, I told him I didn't want it. And then he told me he would do what he can to put back my bottom jaw in place with the treatment only (no surgery). So as long as I went to my appointments, he made several moulds of my molars (of my molars bite actually), then filed (? not sure lol) them, to make them fit to each others!
Now, I have issues to eat, and there's a side of my jaw where the two jaws are not touching, I can't bite at all on the left side, but this will be repaired later with elastics, when the bot jaw will be braced! The most important right now being the two mids aligned
Look how ugly is that tooth and how severe is the rotation:
Look at that front tooth with the rotation, it doesn't have a bracket on it yet, but I can't wait to be braced on this tooth haha:
I have a kind of bracket, behind the rotated tooth, where an elastic is attached, it surrounds the tooth till the front of the aside canine
This rotated tooth will have a bracket on it at my next appointment (next week), can't wait!
- the rotation progress only took 2 months, i had a spring on april to make space, and then got the elastic to take the tooth out on May
And here you can see my mids alignments progress:
Spring and an elastic around the rotated tooth to make it come out:
You can see a black dot appearing on that tooth... Since that tooth was hidden and stuck for 28 years, it clearly needs a decalcification ^^
My experience so far:
- Only hurts a couple of days after each appointment (except the very first time I got braced, it hurt 1 week, but only when biting). The pain when biting is really bearable (but all this depends on each person)
- Having ceramic is really discreet, actually people don't even notice I have them on
- At the beginning, I slept with open mouth, braces take loads of space haha
- I hated my teeth so bad that, now that I have my braces, it kinda hides the ugly haha so I'm almost more confident with my braces XD
- Brushing teeth has become annoying, more than I expected
- I floss more than I expected
- I'm taking care of them so much, I thought I would never break a bracket: I WAS WRONG! The same molar bracket fell twice, just by brushing it (too strongly probably... haha) More fragile than I expected
- something funny: my lip is often stuck on the two canines, because there are hooks on those brackets
I will update with pictures when the changes will be apparent!
Feel free to ask anything and/or correct my English , x x x
