Bracketed at 64: Its About Time

#1 Post by HarryO »

Hi all.....and after thinking about it and procrastinating forever, I finally decided to go for it, so here I am at the ripe old age of 64 with 3M Clarity's installed on top five days ago. Should be an interesting ride, but so far so good.....a bit of tenderness and mild ache but able to eat and go on pretty much unchanged from the outset. 5 weeks to next appointment when lowers are installed along with what suspect will have to be some kind of device to keep bottoms from being bitten off due to an overbite/overjet. Wish me luck.....will fill in details as journey progresses.

Hi there!

I'm in braces at 56 so can commiserate. I'm a little over 3 months into my journey and have found that my teeth are moving very slowly, perhaps because of my age. I also think my ortho is being conservative and using lighter wires to minimize the risk of root resorption, so I am not complaining. Looking forward to following your journey. It's never too late! :D
