Hello everyone. I'm 29 and about to get braced. I got 2 spacers put in three days ago (OUCH). They are feeling better now. I got two teeth extracted a month ago to make space. I have severe crowding in the front (EMBARASSING). After the pain of the spacers, I started having second thoughts. But I've come too far to turn back.
My smile takes away my confidence. I'm a school teacher and I need to be able to smile without feeling embarrassed. My smile has taken away from life long enough. I dream of the day when I can smile a beautiful smile. I am not looking forward to the pain of braces. However, when I finally get them on I will be relieved.
I AM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS FORUM! **will make sure I go shopping for soft foods.

I will be getting braces the day before you. I got spacers on the 3rd. They have been a major annoyance, I hope the braces wont be as bad. I am getting Damon 3's.

Well, today is the big day. What I've been wanting for the last 10 years is about to happen. 7 hours till my braces. Hope it doesn't hurt too bad Well I will have aspirin ready just in case. Hopefully I can post pics on Monday. I have plenty of soft foods. So I guess I'm ready. Watch out TEETH, HERE I COME!

Congrats on your braces! I hope you're feeling ok today. The next week will be the worst then trust me they seem to feel much better over night. I thought it was even hard to brush my teeth those first few days they were so sore, but I'm one week and 4 day into them and I feel like i've always had them! I look forward to your posts.

Finally, I have my braces. I am bold with it. I have silver braces with get this....HOT PINK bands. My smile literally lights up the room. The braces are on the top only. I am supposed to get the bottom done tomorrow but my spacers KEEP COMING OUT! So I will probably will have to wait another week.

The first few days were the worse, things are okay now. Its been about two weeks. I still can't eat like normal but it's much better than it was.

Great KK. I love the bright colors. I'm a teacher and my kids will be in on Monday. Can not wait to get their reaction! :D

I was able to get my bottom braces on. OUCH! I wanted to go back and have them removed. I was in so much pain. 3 days later the pain was gone.

My teeth are moving nicely and its only been about 3 weeks Can't wait for more progress!
