I have about six long plane flights coming up over the next two months. Due to the new security regulations, I can no longer bring toothpaste onto the plane. I don't want to go 10 hours without eating, so was thinking of eating, then just swishing with water and putting my aligners back in.
I know that's not ideal, but is that acceptable
TWO--Do they make a prescription toothpaste? If I could get something like that, then I could just say I have to brush my teeth everytime I eat and bring the prescription on board.
another plan u could use would be to after eating use toothpick then toothbrush and then chew sugar free gum for 15 mins to take care of any acid in mouth.
I didn't know about those toothbrushes. The question is: will the airport screeners? Just because something "complies" doesn't mean they still don't try to take it from you.
I did airplane travel from SF to NY in mid-to-late August with both types of the pre-pasted toothbrushes in my backpack (regular and ReadyBrush). The absolutely DO comply with the regulations and will not be taken away. There is nothing liquid or gel in them. The toothpaste on the bristles is a powder. The airport screeners didn't say a word about them or even look at them twice.
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!
Whenever I'm in a situation where it's inconvienient to brush I just swish & spit/swallow with water, rinse the alligners & put them back in. I've had Invisalign for 18 months now.
