think I need a new orthodontist!!!

#1 Post by rockymountaingal »

Hi All,
I moved about a month ago, and even though I knew that I would be moving the last time I saw my ortho, I told him I would like to keep coming to him. Well, since then , reality has set in, and I thinkI will need to find a new ortho closer to me.(It would be a 2 hour drive one way, and in the Colorado mountains, during winter...do the math) I was wondering if anyone has moved and had to change dentists and is it as easy as picking one and setting up an appointment, or does my current ortho need to recommend one? I go back to him in a couple of weeks, and would like to be able to tell him everything incase I need to get my files/records, etc. at that time.
Any advice would be appreciated, and if anyone is in the Denver(south) area who can recommend a good ortho, Id really be thankful!

My advice is to look up orthos near you on http://www.braces.org/locatoragreement.cfm and call a few of them.

And maybe your current ortho has colleagues in Denver that he knows from ortho school or from being a member of an ortho association. Maybe he can recommend someone.
