I always floss first and then brush. The way I see it, flossing removes particles from between my teeth and below the gumline - I then brush and make sure all of that is cleaned and removed. I suppose you could, brush, then floss, then use a mouthwath. For me I couldn't not brush after flossing.
I always used to brush then floss, but since I got the braces I do the flossing first. I guess I just didn't notice the plaque left on my teeth after I flossed before. Now that there is alot less white tooth and alot more metal I think it is easier for me to notice the left over plaque. I just have to brush to remove it because it grosses me out.
I now brush, floss, use mouthwash and then brush with RX toothpaste before going to bed. To be honest it SUCKS . I am seriously considering a waterpik to go along with my Sonicare toothbrush. Good luck.

I floss first for the same reason. First to get all the gunk out of my gums and then I brush to get rid of it all
I rinses well a few times to get rid of food particles that can be rinsed away, then I floss, and then brush. It was recommended in my country's dentists assoc to floss first to get rid of the food in between teeth, then brush them away.
