thanks everyone for the comments i am glad they are looking straighter!

i decided to be daring and go with a colored ligs today instead of the regular silver.. light blue! i always like how they look in photos on other people, but i'm not sure i like it on myself as much as the silver.. i think i will try a darker color next time. but i decided it is fun to try colors so i will do something new again next time!!

also got some power chains by my gaps on each side, i'm definitely feeling this adjustment !! probably won't be chewing anything tonight :(

Hi, Gorie.
Dark blue and cobalt are both good colours. Give them some thought

Looking great Gorie. I think the light blue look just fine. I like the idea of trying new colors, too. We will only be in braces once - hopefully, so why not go for the gusto?

heres my new color ! i asked for lavender, but i think i got the regular purple... they seem darker than i thought. but i still like it. it matches my shirt today:)

also got a spacer on each side between my lower back molars to band my 2nd molars which right now are not braced... i will have to wear these spacers for 38 days til my next appointment & not looking forward to it ! we'll see how that goes...

Gorie - You are looking great. I am amazed at the difference in such a short time. The purple really does look nice with that shirt! Thanks for all your info and keep posting pictures.

The purple looks good on you. Sorry to hear that you will have spacers for that long! That wont be fun. Why do you have to have your molars banded now?

Your smile really looks great, Gorie! :D I bet those spacers fall out long befoe 38 days are up. Just an observation from what I have read about others wearing them. Good luck.

well, my 2nd molars (very back ones) were not braced at all when my braces were put on. i guess this is done sometimes in hopes that they will fall into place on their own. or for me it could have been because my wisdom teeth were not removed yet when my braces were put on so there may not have been the room to straighten my 2nd molars.
but now my wisdom teteh are gone, and my lower arch is pretty much straight , so it is time to put bands on my crooked 2nd molars to straighten with the rest!
if that made any sense :)

Yay, ligs matching shirt!

I think you got the lavender. The regular purple is pretty dark; I've got them right now and they're in my avatar over there. They look almost like royal blue.

It sucks that you have to have spacers for so long. As if they're not going to fall out!

hi everyone ! i haven't posted in here in awhile but i thought i'd post an update today.

first of all i just got back from an appointment today, and i decided to go with dark blue ligs this time ! first time i've gone with a darker color, i kinda like it for a change.

also i thought i'd post to show the progression of my gaps closing.

here's the lower:
nothing too noticable has happened there cuz it wasn't all that bad to begin with.
they just put molar bands on the very back molars last month (meaning they werent braced at all until last month), so those back ones are still crooked.
he said next visit they're gonna do something on the bottom teeth though, like remove a little of the enamal on the sides of some of the teeth in front cuz he said they lean outward a little and then he will have room to pull them back in or something.
he also said again that i am doing a really good job at keeping them clean which is good to hear!!!! :)

and just so i don't forget...
