I have 4 buttons on top - 1 on each canine and 1 on each 1st bicuspid. I have to say they match my teeth perfectly and are completely unnoticable, even up close. Of course, I've passed the 2 year mark in April so they are worn down a bit.
17 buttons does seem like a bunch but just try to remember they aren't permanent and will only help in getting your smile tht much closer to pefection. How many aligners do you have? ( I have 55 on top and 12 on bottom)
I have 2 on top, one on the left eye tooth (I think it's called? Next to the front one) and one on the first molar next to the right canine, and I had four on the bottom, on the canines and first molars on both sides.
1 on top and 2 on bottom with 17 U and 19 L aligners. And to think that I was considered a "borderline case" by the first ortho that I consulted with...
I had 4 on top and 6 on the bottom (20U, 22L). I say had, because recently, 10 months into treatment, 2 of them 'fell' off the same week! (I still think it was the chewies that I was chomping down on one night that did it) I thought those suckers would never come off. Anyway, at my appt last week, my ortho decided that at this point (I should be done at the end of Aug) it was not necessary for those particular 2 attachments to be reattached!
I only have one on the bottom back tooth. That tooth isn't even really crooked. What the heck are these things for anyway? I'm not sure why I only have one...doc says that's all I'm getting too.
I have three buttons on the bottom, none on top... mainly because the top teeth are not twisted, but a 5mm overjet, hence the 37 trays for uppers. (12 lower)
