Hello there..
..im on the verge of having brace/jaw surgery to correct and overbite and receeding jaw..I wouldnt say my nose is huge but definitely a little longer than average , also have a bump on the bridge giving me a bit of a witchy profile (the chin doesnt help matters at the moment too..!)
Once surgery has been completed, and the teeth and chin look fine..what about the nose? Will it appear longer..?..shorter..?? Will the bump look even worse?
What happens to the nose??

Indeed if you are having upper you will see perhaps more changes. It's best to ask your surgeon to get his/her oppinion on what they believe the outcome will be.
But I can say for me, my nose is in better proportion than it was. And perhaps smaller, although I'm sure that's to do with the upper jaw changes.

Supposedly with upper jaw surgery there is a tendency (depending on the amount of advancement) for the base of the nose to become wider, and for the nose to sometimes become a bit up tipped.
Mine, however, looks a bit smaller now that my chin is there to balance it out, and did not widen at all. I actually like my new nose better then my pre-surgery one.

Hi there! I have a hump too!
check out my blog at www.xanga.com/vienna_girl
there's pics on there if you scroll and you can see the before and after of my nose. My OS worked on the tip a bit and the hump is much much less prominent! I love that!
*edited to fix link- thanks for the heads up Brandy!*
