01/30/07~ Went in for my regular adjustment and also had an exam and cleaning today. I never knew that they could take xrays with brackets on! I learn something new everyday! Since this is a small office I had rough chick again...she usually is the "cleaning lady". I was pleasantly surprised by how great she was today. No pain and very willing to small talk and answer my questions. She did a nice job on the cleaning too! I was getting some slight staining on my lower fronts and all that is cleaned up now! Let's see how long I can stay away from the coffee and tea now! Ha, Ha! When the weather is cold like this I really crave coffee! Anyway...I only have a 3 loop chain going from my upper right canine to the back. Otherwise I have all singles again. I'm bummed 'cuz you see more progress with chains, but I'm excited that I got to alternate colors again!! Woohoo! I chose red/pink for Valentine's Day.

I was telling my ortho how amazed I am by all this progress and he said I probably don't even remember what my teeth looked like before, I said that was a good thing that I didn't remember!
02/27/07~ We have had a ton of snow here so it took me a long time to drive in for my appt. this morning! I am usually one of those people that shows up 10-15 mins. before my scheduled time, but today I walked in the office right on time. Whew! And we have more snow on it's way! Anyway...they put thicker wires on today. Man, I thought the other wires I had were as thick as fence posts, but these are a lot thicker!! I'm already feeling some pressure too! Nothing else exciting to report...I went with two shades of green for St. Patty's Day! Any suggestions for April colors? Probably something light and springy for Easter.

03/27/07~ Chains again! That's good and bad....good 'cuz I'll see some movement again and bad 'cuz it already hurts! Oh well, I'm guessing in a couple days I won't even notice anymore. I was hoping for single ligs 'cuz I wanted to do pink/purple/yellow, but since I had to do chains I went with pink and purple chains with a couple yellow ligs in the back. The hygienists just love that I'm brave enough to do colors. They say most adults don't. Why not??? It's fun!!! I love looking in the mirror and seeing color instead of drab gray.

I'm getting close to a year now and it's so exciting! Maybe I'll try to get all my pics on a collage for my anniversary so I can really see what been going on in my mouth!
05/01/07~Another adjustment down! Still have chains and still trying to get the extraction gaps to close. This part is sure boring! I love pink so I went with a pink upper chain and a silver lower. I can't wait until I can have single ligs again! They have many more colors to chose from! Here are my before and afters...
And since my ONE YEAR anniversary is May 11 I threw together a collage...nothing fancy 'cuz my photo editing skills are not that good!
I'm glad you mentioned that you have "re-used" your wire. I thought that you were supposed to get a new one every time, but they just clean mine up and put it back on. I've had a couple new ones and that is 'cuz they changed to a different "gauge" wire, otherwise I get the same one put back on.
