Blue Cross Blue Sheild covered my jaw surgery. As a University professor, I have the State employees policy.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York. I live in Minnesota and BCBS of Minnesota WILL NOT cover bsso surgery according to my OS and Ortho under any group policy in MN. Happily, the company my husband works for is based out of New York State and for some reason BCBS of W. NY covers it pending Benefits Management Team's approval.

I have Cigna Healthcare PPO and am in Texas. Orthognathic surgery is covered in specific instances for functional improvement.
