SPACERS ARE IN!

#1 Post by TammyRose »

I just got home from the orthodontist...they got those spacers in! They are a pretty bright blue color...they had a hard time getting the bottom right side in, took 2 different people to get it in!! Not so bad so far but I'm gona take some Advil as a preventative cause everyone here says they get headaches or something! I LOVE MY LIQUID ADVIL GEL CAPS! I cant wait till next week!!!!! Then I will have my beloved beautiful braces:)

Excellent! My spacers were a be-yatch to get in, did they keep at it with a variety of different instruments?
My orthodontist ended up using a tip from a colleague, "the floss method" ... part of it is wrapping floss tightly around fingers and pulling upwards, her poor fingers took a beating!
Do you have the "bouncey" feeling when you bite down? I quite enjoyed that :)

Yes, I get the bouncy feeling, and sounds like squeeky cheese when I squish them together. For dinner I had a milk shake. I didnt eat lunch cause I had them put in during my lunch hour and I was starving later on, so someone gave me crackers to eat. THAT was a mistake. OWIE! So for din din it was a strawberry milkshake and Im starving now Oh well. Im afraid to eat and I know this is just the beginning!!!!

As for getting them in...she kept saying "I dont like this pair of plyers" I kept thinking YOU ARE GONA USE PLYERS IN MY MOUTH O GOD IM GONA DIE! It took about 4 attempts to get my back right bottom one in...she broke one of the bands, tried the floss method and finally had to call another lady in that said "Oh! I love banding people!" Oooo Lordy! Shes the one that actually got it in! I only tasted a little blood! So I only wear these till WEDNESDAY! So thats what..Fri, sat, sun, mon, tues and OFF ON WEDNESDAY!!!! I hope tomorrow is OKAY.

BTW...Kaz...I printed out a pic of your WRX and its now up on my 'dream poster' Im hoping to frame one of these days. I had to make it for something...and Its SOOO purrrty:)

Talk at you all soon:)
