Spacers Yesterday

#1 Post by woobeesmom »

I decided to get braces! Not for cosmetic reasons but for problems from earlier dental work. (Although that is a benefit!) Dentist said I would loose molars if something wasn't done! I felt encouraged by all the comments on this website! Got the spacers in yesterday! I thought they had a lot of trouble getting them in but wasn't as difficult as some of the comments I've read! Mouth is a little sore but nothing I can't handle.
Having a little trouble with the stigma of being an adult and having braces but will be worth it in the long run!!!
Braces going on next Wednesday! :)

Well Woobee, the whole ordeal can seem overwhelming when you first set out down the railroad tracks to healthier teeth. But be assured that it does get MUCH EASIER once you and the people in your life get over the initial shock :yikes: . Some of us repeat customers having gone through the treatment in our teens and are back as adults knowing full well what to expect and yet take on the challange because we know what the end results bring to our overall well being. You've made a wise discision and you won't regret it for one minute.

And don't forget you have over 1000 members of this forum for support, how can you beat that??

Good luck :!: :!:

Braces - "NOT" (-: - Doc addressed jaw issue w/out the need for braces at the moment!!! "Damn fine with me, I'd rather buy a new bay window for my house."

Congratulations Woobeesmom. I thought my ortho did mostly kids, but since I have been in a few times for problems, I am seeing more and more adults. So - your not really alone in this cold, cruel ortho world.... Well, maybe not cold and maybe not cruel, but definately painful at times. :soremouth: Good luck to you.
