Just saw something from Forbes Magazine (www.forbes.com) that listed the 25 top paying jobs - I think it's just in the US.
Orthodontist was ranked about #4 and oral surgeon was way up there also. I thought the biggest surprise was how many orthodontists there were right now - I would have thought there were a lot more than 5200:

According to this article, Orthodontics doesn't even rank in Canada as a top-paying career...however, psychologist is #4...good thing I'm in Psychology at uni!Orthodontists come about 4th in the UK too, although it didn't give an average salary figure. Link here
