What others have said about feeling like their teeth are HUGE is true for me. Just like it took me a while to get used to my teeth IN braces, it's going to take some time to seeing them straight and OUT of braces.

Hi Carissa,

Your teeth look great, I only hope my results are as good as yours!

How long were you in braces for? Did it feel like forever??

A real quick drive-by post. Thanks to all of you for your good wishes and congratulations.

I haven't tried an apple yet, but I am still amazed that food actually goes down my throat now instead of grabbing every wire and bracket in my mouth. My teeth are a little sore, which I never heard anyone else mention. I don't know if I am still grinding or not.

I'm getting used to the new "look." It's just so odd to have a nice wide smile when for so many years I looked at that tiny pinched one above in the mirror, followed by braces covering up the changes.

Talk to you all real soon. Gotta run to work!

:D

I'm getting nervous...one of my lower incisors, the one tooth that was really stubborn about straightening out is shifting.

Those of you who have had to wait to get your retainer, this is normal, right? The retainer will push it back into place, right?

I don't get my retainer until Tuesday. :(
