Hi,
I'm a 24 year old female living in NYC, and have metal lowers and invisalign on top. I got my braces 10/17/07, and will be getting a lower front tooth extracted in a few months (date TBD depending on how the treatment goes). I had braces as a kid but my jaw kept growing after they were removed and screwed everything up.

How did I miss this earlier?

I'm 49 and was braced for the second time a week short of my 48th birthday. I had hoped to have them off by 50 but that was before we decided to do surgery. Now I don't know nor do I ask how much longer. My ortho tends to keep them on for about eight months to a year after surgery which means I've got them for at least another 20 or so months.

I'm from West Virginia and this is my second time wired. The first was as a senior in high school.

Mike
I wore braces (this time) for 1294 days or 3 years, 6 months and 17 days.
But who's counting?
Jaw Surgery June 1, 2009
Thanks for praying for me and thinking happy thoughts.

hello, I'm 20, from Cheltenham, England (no i don't talk like the queen but i drink lots of tea!) and I've been braced for 11 months so far and went through wisdom teeth surgery in june. Expect to have them off at least 6 months after surgery which could be anytime next year or later, all a bit vague at the moment :(

Male (47). Florida. I'm rockin' some shiny lower grillz that I just love. (note sarcasm). Once the bottoms straighten up I'll get Invisiligns on top. Or I'll have all my teeth removed and go for dentures. Which at this point is beginning to sound attractive.
