Notice how on my lowers that one pesky toth is pushing in? I hope at my adjustemtn next week, the lower wire that is put on will reverse, so it can go back to the way it was and posibly close my gaps on my lowers, I dunno if a powerchain are hoing on to close them, we shall see :)

Arent the changes freaken awesome!!!!!!!

6th Adjustment SHOCKING NEWS:)

#320 Post by chillin-in-grilz »

My 6th adjustment was unusual. You remember...the lower tooth was pushing in, the orth osaid it was because the wire was not even in the "door" of the bracket. meaning the wire skipped or something over that tooth. Which caused it to push back.

So I got and 18/25 upper wire, then since the tooth caused a setback, I was SUPPOSED to get a stronger lower wire. So what did they do you wonder..

They used the same strengthness and this time the tooth was properly intact. But on that tooth the little bit of wire before it, and the bit after they put some sort of cold jell, they said it makes the wire in that area more bendable.

The whole appointment took about 15 mintutes. But this is the SHOCKING news!

During the half our later, I was in much pain, took 2 extra strength tyenol. I went to the mirror and I looked at the tooth, it WAS BACK IN POSTION, RIGHT I NALIGHMENT AMAZING!

It took 4 months for the tooth to push back, but less then 30 minutes for the tooth to go back to normal:) FREAKEN AWESOME!

So now, instead of 2 months for next adjustment, it is a month, December 19th, the last day before they are closed till January 7th, at that appointment i will more then likley get a stronger lower wire, anyhting more, I have no idea.

And now for the moment you been waiting for ta dah!!!!

Ok, so, I just sat here for about an hour and a half and read through your blog. It's awesome to see how much progress your teeth have made in such a relatively short amount of time!!!

My b-day is January 11, 2008 (which seems so far away) and I can only hope that I have half the progress you have so far! I've wanted/needed braces since I was 12 but my parents couldn't afford it. Now that I have a good job and can afford to get them, I'm finally fixing my chompers!

I'll be posting my own braces story as I get closer to b-day!

I hope the experience will be fantastic for you, if you go through rough patches, remember its all worth it in the end.

But as my year is almost up, I am so amazed for the changes, cant imagine I only have 7 months to go!!!!

Anyways, I was suppossedly having my adjustment today, BUT my mom phoned down yesterday and the answering machine said they were closed for the holidays I was like what the h**. I was supposed to have my lower wires switched since they couldnt last time because the tooth pushed in BECAUSE the bracket wasnt closed!

Whos fault is that I ask. hmmmm not pointing any fingers to anyone.

Anyways be cuase of that I wont be able to get ahold of the ortho till January 7th to set up an appoint, i am now 2 months behind on lower wire switches.

Grrrrr!!!!

Bummer Steph, that's not very good is it :? What a pain! But Ken is right and the wires will still be doing their thing, and at least you won't have aching teeth over Christmas.

I am behind schedule too. It looks like a lot of us will be here for a while yet to keep each other company lol

Have a great holiday.
