I'm not sure of the name of the brackets i have, but i go to a really "high profile" orthodontist, the best one in town, so they have to be good.
Hurts a little, just kinda feels like someone is pushing on my teeth. Not a real pain, just irritating. The last bracket on the top hurts my cheek, it has the clamp on it, with a lil' piece of wire coming out the end. Not horrible getting them on, just a little tedious, feeling like a dum dum with my mouth propped open with some giant plastic thing holding my cheeks back. My orthodontist is FANTASTIC! They gave me a really neat electronic oral B toothbrush as a gift :) woot!
Day one going by, we'll see how it feels later this week.
I can eat too, it's not to bad, feels weird though.

Update of Day 1:
Its nighttime now, and they hurt a little, I can't really feel when i'm biting into stuff, I guess they are just numb from the pressure. But it sure is weird, and I sure did eat me an oatmeal cookie :)

Wax works wonders :)

They look great, Jen!! Congrats!! :jump:

Yep, eating feels weird but will get better. Your teeth will probably feel more tender on day 2 and 3 and then it just gets better from there on in. Great pics. :D
Keep smilin'! :)

Hooray!!! Another beautiful smile in the works. I'm so jealous of your goodies bag. All I got was a gimmie T-shirt.

LOL, yeah they gave me some wax, the toothbrush, a flosser threader, some weird tiny brush to brush the wires, some coupons for some fantastic expensive toothpaste, and some helpful hints, the toothbrush ROCKS, it's friggin fantastic, I recommend an oral B electo toothbrush with braces, it cuts out the opportunity for you to hurt your teeth while brushing, all you do is hold it on each bracket/tooth for 2 seconds and poof your done, it has a timer and EVERYTHING, so I know when my 2 minutes is over for brushing :)
though, i've found with braces, the 2 minutes turns into 10 really fast,

right now i'm suckin on some lil cadberry mini eggs :) they are pretty fantastic mood enhancers :)

Jen,

I do the same thing!!! Those are my favorite and I always stock up after Easter! CVS has them on sale for .99 cents a bag.

I had my adjustment yesterday and can barely chew, but I need something in my stomach to keep the motrin down...LOL! I guess it's mini egg time!
