Hi Martin -
You now how you say that your lateral tooth seems to be moving farther back in your mouth. Well, maybe it is your other teeth that are already moving out more, starting to widen your arch. Since they are the ones that are hooked up to the archwire they may be moving already. Where as your lateral tooth is not hooked up to the archwire, therefore probably not moving anywhere.

Anyway - it's just my guess. Best of luck with your treatment. Looking forward to episode 5.

Hi Everybody,

Today was my first adjustment. I had everything tightened and all the ligs replaced. I was also very lucky to have one of the members of staff at Manor Othodontists in Leicester assist me by filming me during the procedure, which was brilliant, and my hat goes off to them all down there.

I wont go on about my adjustment as i think the video says it all. i have also included the previous installments for anyone wishing to catch up.

Hi Martin -

Just watched your episode 1 - I am fairly new to this forum.
Awesome video - really informative and even entertaining - you do well infront of a camera!

My former boss is British - i worked for him for a few years and now I forget where in England he is from - will have to ask him. He is one of the funniest people I know - while braces aren't a funny topic, you still manage to make a serious subject entertaining!

Best of luck to you - I look forward to tracking your progress!

Beth

Thank you for making these videos Martin! They are very helpful. It's nice to see how it works from a different perspective, rather than just being the patient. Are you having any pain since your first adjustment? I got my braces on today, and so far no pain, but I am expecting it! My 1st adjustment is in 4 weeks. And now I know what to expect! so thank you very much.

Just watched the first episode of your diary Martin, what a great idea! I feel like a braces "veteran" now after almost 18 months but I can imagine what an amazing help this will be for people still in that agonising stage of deciding whether to take the plunge. Everything you say rings true with exactly how I was feeling just before getting braced.

This will be great for you to look back on in months and years to come and you're fab in front of the camera. You rock, be very proud of yourself!

Now for episode two...
