Seriously. I'm 30, went through SARPE, have been braced for one full year now without any issues/problems, etc. Suddenly, though, my left front tooth is about 2mm lower than my right front tooth, and it is causing problems. First off, he stopped my elastics (to bring my upper bite forward) two months ago, second, now my front teeth are exactly in alignment with my lower fronts, which means none of my molars meet, it's very hard to chew anything, etc. I have about 3 weeks left until I see my ortho again...due to spring break. I really feel like Nanny McPhee, no kidding. Is this something that requires calling and making an appt. for the ortho to fix? I've been living with this sad problem for over two weeks now with no signs of change...and to further compound things, my most protruding front tooth HURTS! No amount of Tylenol PM is helping. God, I knew I was in for some serious discomfort and I feel I've put up with everything so far without a fuss, but really...this is getting unmanageable. I have to work for pete's sake!
Is this really cause to make an early/unnecessary appt., do I need one for sure? I hate to bother him unnecessarily. But I'm dying! Sorry for the dramatics/hystrionics....I feel like he at least should've kept me in elastics for a while longer...should I mention that if I'm able to see him before spring break? Gah. Why don't orthos prescribe valium or xanax!!!!!!?????
ortho gave me a snaggle tooth

eta: the "protruding" front tooth is actually not protruding, it is now longer than the other front tooth and that is what is 60% causing the problem. The other 40% is that my upper palate is no longer overlapping the lower at all, they are dead even. So I have one tooth (the left front) which is touching the lower two teeth, and none of my other teeth touch at all, soooo annoying...is this even normal?

I had the same sort of thing when I was first in removable braces, as a kid - the ortho over-adjusted one of the front "z" springs, and within a week that tooth was sticking out massively, "Deliverance" style!
A quick call and a visit, and within 4 days it was back where it belonged. Once teeth start moving they can move very fast, so I'd think it was just an accidental adjustment.
