So I had my lower braces fitted last week and oh man it felt strange!! I am quite lucky with my Damon braces because my teeth don't hurt at all, but the problem was that I had the skin on my cheeks catching in between my upper teeth and my lower braces and man that hurt!! For the first couple of days I was bleeding every time I had a bite to eat and it was really getting to me.
A week on and I think my mouth kind of got used to it...... I must have learned how to bite in a way that I don't bite into my cheeks and I can see that in about a week or so, I won't even notice them anymore. :)

Hi Chrissy,

Glad to hear you got your lowers on and you're getting that bite thing down! :D I had the same sort of issues too but it really does get easier. You're top teeth are really coming along! Looking forward to pics of your lowers.
Keep smilin'! :)

Hi Chrissy,

I went back and looked at your pic of day one with your uppers. Yes, you do have lots of changes!! :D And your bottoms look great! We have the exact same braces...how long do you go between adjustments? Mine are 8 weeks apart, which I find difficult....the waiting nearly kills me! Hope you're doing well now that you have a "full mouth of metal". You have beautiful teeth. I'm sure the end results will be stunning!
Keep smilin'! :)

It's usually 7 - 8 weeks between my adjustments :) and yeah it seems forever. This was actually my second time at the orthodontists (since I had my upper ones put on) and he said it's progressing much faster that he had anticipated.
Thanks for the compliments :) , I am starting to actually picture what the end result will look like :D ...

So I'm back :) . I had my third adjustment today and I feel a bit sore. My ortho said it's looking great and put in a much thicker wire. I feel the pressure, but pressure is good!!! :) I like pressure, it means that things are moving ..... I will post some new pics as soon as I get the time.

OMG the pain!!! This thicker wire is really putting a lot of preassure on my teeth and the first night was quite rough. :( I was hurting eating my cereal this morning, can u imagine??
Another problem I am experiencing is that obviously my teeth are moving and the result is that I can not fully bite down at this point..... hope you know what I'm talking about. :?
