I LOVE MY BRACES!!

#1 Post by prettypieceofmetal »

Greetings to all Metal Mouth readers, although I do not have my braces in full yet, i'm enjoying the uppers. They needed to extract only one from my mouth, possibly due to previous extractions done in the past, whatever it may be, i don't mind. Truth be told, i nearly fell asleep in my dentist's chair when they were performing the extraction, my personal fault, but they didn't realise that i was snoozing until they wondered i didn't react to anything, lol, its a bit embarrasing, but funny nonetheless.

My uppers haven't been tightened yet, but they do have some slight pressure, i'm don't mind, i really like them, lol. My friends like it, they keep wanting to see it, leaving a reason for me to keep smiling, lol. I just hope that the deadline they gave me (approx two years) is kept, because although its fun, this may be only a fleeting thought, at the same time, if its going to be on me for a long period of time, i might as well like it.

I've seen people complain and have a desire for instant removal, completely understandable, of course, but think about the aftermath of it? Having perfect rows of pearly whites? If that doesn't seem like a good reason, what about missing classes? I'm no delinquent, but its fun to have something to break monotony, even if its an appointment. The assistants there are young and relatable because some of them have braces as well.

I don't really use the wax they gave me, i saw a difference in terms of comfort when i put them on, but sometimes the rush of everyday makes giving the time to put the wax on after brushing, flossing, rinsing, using the tiny brush they gave me (forgot the name of it, apologies) and a couple other things, not to mention the fact that i'm supposed to get used to the weird feeling anyways, leaves the reality that i'm okay without it and don't mind not using it.

What are your thoughts?

Over and out
