Your get there with the crisps! Be careful with pringles tho, as i did break a wire (twice :? ) with those, but that was in the early days when the wires are thinner.

Up until surgery i was eating whatever i wanted, only thing i never managed was toffee.

Meryaten-yep crisp flavors over here, have gone mad! You can get SO many flavours.

i eat potato chips on occasion although they do tend to get stuck in the wires but its not horribly hard to clean, for a while i wouldn't have popcorn then one night i got a massively huge craving for it and i had some, i was actually quite surprised that it wasn't that horribly hard to eat. Of course I was very cautious! I made sure after i cleaned my teeth very well! so now i occasionally have popcorn, but definetly not as much as i used to lol

I eat them with braces, I am just careful... like I let them soak up my salivia --- basically, I suck on them before I start chewing. Pringles are what I prefer now with braces, as they have caused me no problem (except for getting stuck everywhere). Harder, thicker chips... I have absolutely avoided!! I am still afraid I will pop or break something.

Tigerlily, I'm sure it's Walkers that make marmite crisps...the bags are yellow and I've seen them in Asda and usually corner shops.

Luella..marmite is a savoury yeast extract spread..kinda beefy flavour..I actually HATE the stuff itself but marmite crisps taste diffferent and are nice :)

Wotsits and cheesy corn puff style crisps usually eaten by kids...they make you turn a lovely ornage colour

LOL Luella you are getting a good education on British junk food here :)

I live in the U.S. and here they make these awesome little square cracker crisps that tastes like chips! They are made by Lays. They are easier to chew than chips :D

So Wotsits are basically Cheeto Puffs in the states. Still not quite sure about the marmite or the prawn ones. :D

Prawn ocean crisps really do not taste very prawny.. I think they are probably the most artificial tasting crisps...?? That said, used to love them when I was a kid. Thinking about it I think I had a packet of crisps most days then, can't believe it now.

I had a look in the supermarket today but could not find the Marmite ones but I am going to stop in every corner shop I pass till I find them..just got to try them!

That is my case, the wire is fully intact, just pulled out of the bracket. I think I can get it back in if I cool the wire down. Once done, did you have to go in to the ortho for them to do anything further? I got another 5 weeks to go before the next tune up, and if it's just a matter of putting the wire back in like that and no further action required, it will be a big time saver. Should it even be phoned in for the record or something, or just solve the problem one self and continue on?
No, my husband pushed the wire back through the tube and all was good. I didn't have to go in until my adjustment. They also told me that I could just set the wire on top of the bracket till my adjustment.

I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this thread.

My son ate our last packet of Walkers cheese & onion crisps yesterday, and I was getting dangerously near the bottom of the jar of Marmite when I made my daughter's sandwich this morning. And we don't get back to England to re-stock until October

Having said that, I've not yet tried crisps since I've had braces. More because I reckon the cleaning up afterwards would outweigh the pleasure, than for any other reason. :)

Man, you Americans are so deprived of good snacks! Worcester sauce crisps are amazing, I had some earlier. Particularly worcester sauce French Fries (NO, not actual fries- or as we call them chips, that's the brand name. So confusing!) I'm also enjoying the new Ploughman's flavour too.

Hey, can anyone remember the football-inspired name changes ages ago? There was Salt n' Lineker, Cheese n' Owen...can't remember any more :D

8) life would just not be the same without dill pickle chips! (Or Doritos cool ranch)

Funny- I thought most of the chip names mentioned here were hysterical, until I realized that we have Hostess All-Dressed. (Mixed salt & vinager, bbq, ketchup, sour cream and onion). Now I realize its pretty crazy up here too!

I eat potato chips. Any type that I like. Nope no brackets fell off for eating foods on the no-no list.
