WOW! It looks like you've had braces for a loooong time. Your teeth look so perfect already. Congrats on the amazing movement. I hope you haven't had any more problems with the jelous people.

That's truly amazing! your gap on the left is almost gone! Don't worry about the powerchain, I freaked out when I first got it, since it really hurt. But now I can barely feel it;) just give it 3-5 days, I heard 10 days most.

Hey, looks like you had the same extractions I had to have to make room ...wow, it's turning out nicely. Your teeth look pretty good. Nice little preview for what mine might look like once my eye teeth scoot down. Your teeth are going to be so pretty when they're done!!!

RE: Buttheads - 1. Braces aren't supposed to look beautiful like Hollywood movie star teeth--they're braces. We'd all choose not to have metal mouths if we could. 2. Wearing braces doesn't make you look bad, it makes you look like you've got the guts to repair what needs repairing, even if it does show. I look at it this way, crooked teeth are a flaw through no fault of our own. It's the strong people that admit and fix flaws instead of hiding them away or denying they exist.

:D
I'm now on the fourth day of the powerchain and the pain has subsided mostly, except when I eat.

It has been four days since I got the powerchain. It doesn't hurt much now, except when I eat. I've mostly been sticking to pb&j and tuna for some reason. I've been eating it so much that my boyfriend has started to call me "Peter Pan" (a brand of peanut butter) when I eat pb&j and "meows" at me like a cat when I eat tuna

Anyways, I've definitely noticed a bit of movement already and I'm sure I can thank this powerchain and two days of complete pain.

Only 1 year and a half to go until I'm out of these, hopefully!

I haven't updated in a while! There haven't been any exciting adjustments, until today. My extraction gaps are nearly closed and the powerchain isn't killing me anymore!

Today I went in between regular adjustments just to get my powerchain changed, but I walked out with upside down "V" elastics :? They are a huge pain in the butt. I had a super nice assistant this time, my usual lady was busy. I wanted to hate her the second she put the first elastic on. The pain doesn't bother me as much as not being able to open my mouth. It doesn't help that I'm a receptionist and I have to talk to people all day. I have a feeling this is going to help with all of the ice cream and cookies I've been craving lately

I just keep telling myself, "YOU wanted this. Your smile is going to be fabulous when it's over."

I'm at work right now and I'd hate to look like a crazy person taking pictures of my mouth in front of everyone, so, picture updates tomorrow!

Miss Chastity - your teeth are looking fantastic!

I was just reading back through your old posts, I had a few comments about my braces at times too, and I noticed that the people who made horrible comments, were people who didn't have very nice teeth! I've found that some people are jealous of others who have decided to take action to fix their teeth, because they will never have the courage to fix theirs.

Anyway, your teeth are looking so great, I can't wait to see new pics!

My teeth on brace day:

I can finally see how everything is coming together. Whooo!

Today is day two of elastics. I tried to sleep with them in last night but I absolutely couldn't. I decided I'd get used to them during the day first before I tried sleeping in them. I'm already forgetting that I have them on.

Yes, I think jealousy is behind rude comments like that. Oh well!

Thank you!

Today is my third day with elastics. Is it too soon to be noticing results? I think my bite is changing.
Anyways, I actually slept with them in last night! I was proud of myself! I've changed the rubber bands twice today - this morning after breakfast and brushing my teeth and this afternoon after lunch and brushing. I've left them in the rest of the time! Things are sore a while after I put them back on but after a couple of hours it goes away and I barely feel any discomfort.

I'm so glad it is finally October, even though it is still 80 degrees where I live and I can't wear fall clothes just yet. Thanks, Georgia :x
I can't wait to do some fall cooking!

You are lucky to be in elastics! I can't wait 'til I get them. :)
Congrats on your first night sleeping with them in!!
Is it difficult putting them in??

It's still 80 degrees here in California too...but I am loving it! It is supposed to cool down very soon though, and rain too! Nooo..I don't like the rain very much :?
