How much did yours cost???
Moderator: bbsadmin
The cost seems to be everywhere. I went to see several orthodontists. One quoted me $8800 and another quoted $6800. I don't know who to pick. The first orthodontist who quoted $8800 said I will have to wear invisalign up to 18 months with elastics. $6800 orthodontist said invisalign between 9 to 13 months and no elastics. Totally confused.
I prefer cheaper orthodontist because of the cost but if I'll be totally pissed off if my teeth came out ok because I chose the cheaper one. This will be my second time wearing braces. I want it to be super nice!
I live in Canda by the way.

Hey everyone - I found this forum a while ago but kinda forgot about it and recently rediscovered it and decided to finally make my first post!
My whole treatment is $7650 and I'm in St. Louis, MO and have the #1 provider in a region several states big. That price includes 41 uppers and 25 lowers, 2 restarts if needed, all office visits (planned and emergency), all the records and impressions, 6 months of metal braces if necessary at the end, teeth whitening at the end, and I think a retainer too when it's all done.
My insurance covers $2000 which was about the price difference between metal braces and invisalign so it's kinda like I'm paying the price for normal braces but I get the cool invisible part for free.

It seems as if I paid top dollar.....$3850 for 12 aligners for the top only. But, this included everything....2 sets of Essix retainers. It would have been $5400 if I had done both arches. I was almost pissed thinking I could have done Express but it ended up I needed 4 more aligners to please me. One thing i would recommend.....PLEASE know what your plan includes....retainers, refinements, and the possibility of finishing in fixed braces if you dont get the results you want. Also, I didnt accept the measly 3% discount he offered if I paid up front. As I still owed him money after my first aligners, I felt like I had alot of bargaining power to get the refinement and the tooth shaping. I felt like he had no choice but to make me happy if he wanted the next $1500. It was never an issue with him but, in my old age (I'm 47) Ive learned not to pay in full for anything til I'm happy!!!!!!
I've been quoted £4000, but he is a top orthodontist that teaches at the Uni of Manchester and has years of experience in teeth straightening, and he's really nice.. which makes me feel paying a bit more is worth it..
Kinda sickening that in the US they cost half as much.. My ortho said they were so expensive because of the value of the Euro at the moment (Because they order invisalign from Germany).

£4,000 including xrays, impressions, 31/17 trays, any refinement required and permanent bonded retainers. Oh and he seems happy to supply home whitening gel too.
This was split £250 for impressions etc to get Clincheck, then £1,250 when the order was sent off for the trays. When I pick up the trays, the final balance becomes payable - less 5% if I pay it upfront instead of arranging finance. i.e. £2,500 x 95% = £2,375.
I will do that, so total cost will be £3,875
It is definitely more expensive in the UK!

Initial set: 31 upper / 17 lower
1st refinement: 14 upper / 10 lower
2nd refinement: 10 upper / 5 lower

$4650 for a premier dentist in my area [he's one of the top 5% of Invisalign Providers in the US since 2005]. This includes everything & even one refinement! [The desired result is garuanteed]
I just had my impressions done today! :]

£3,200 full treatment in Manchester UK. It was fixed price no matter what i needed. Still more expensive than the US but obviously a better deal than what some others in the UK are getting.
I'll just add, my provider does 80+ cases a year and seemed very confident that Invisalign would suit my case. I dont know how complex my case is, he didnt make it sound like a very big deal. Just arch expansion, IPR, rotation, no need to pull/push down/up any teeth, and hopefully no extractions needed.
