I don't know about iBraces, but with another lingual brand I was eating meat within 10 days of being braced.

Yeah, not too long: 10-14 days for me. Another 4-5 days off whenever I get a new wire put in.
I had my top arch wired for 3 years, 9 months, 3 weeks and 3 days with iBraces
I had my bottom arch wired for 3 years, 8 months, 1 week, and 4 days with iBraces

Lingualslady, I'd seriously be getting into solid food by now. The more you chew, the better.

That is longer than I took but everyone is different. The first 10 days was tough but then my biggest problem was the bite pads they put on were WAY to high. I went back, talked to the ortho and he lowered them. After that, I had NO problems chewing (still couldn't eat certain foods that are likely to knock off a bracket and popcorn is...well...evil).

What is causing you issues? Pain? Bite? Chewing?

10 days so far... but still no steak

things are definitely improving for me but this is SO much harder than i thought it would be. i have to cover the brackets on my cuspids with wax, which is a pain with eating (ie it comes out) so i am mostly drinking smoothies. also i am still lisping.

Lionfish and Saps

It's not through lack of trying! But my teeth hurt and I have usual ulcer problems and wax comign off so moving food around is painful as well. I keep trying new foods (out of boredom and hunger) and it's all more effort and pain than it's worth! But then things are heading inthe right direction.. just slowly!!
