Is anyone 100% satisfied with their Invisalign results?

Is anyone 100% happy with their results from Invisalign (with no metal braces)? Anyone have a perfect smile thanks to Invisalign?
I'm about to start my first refinement and I'm extremely skeptical that Invisalign will address all of my issues.

I just saw my clincheck and I'm not happy that my midlines aren't going to line up.

Not to burst your bubble Chris, but my clincheck showed my teeth ending up perfect and they are not! Not even close. I'm about to start my first refinement, so I'll keep everyone posted on the final result.

My intial treatment was 12 trays followed by one refinement of 4 trays.

Of course I had a setback when I had the frenectomy, so the entire process took longer than originally planned, about 9 months total. If I were you, fred, I'd hang in there and take all the refinements you need until you are happy!

Perfection! Those are some impressive results, but your teeth were not bad at all before treatment. From what I've read on this forum and other places, Invisalign does a great job with closing gaps. I need rotation of canines, which I know is difficult for Invisalign. Thanks for the pep talk Lilypad and I'm gonna hang it there!

Lilypad, they look awesome! And Fred, it depends on what problems you are starting with. I, like lilypad, had the front gap. Invisalign is excellent for closing up gaps. My results look great but not perfect because many of my teeth needed some extrusion (to be lengthened a bit), and my mid-line was slightly off.

If you only have crowding, crookedness and gaps, then you will see awesome results most likely. If you need a midline shift and extrusion, this can be accomplished to an extent, and the teeth will look aesthetically pleasing at the end, but 9 times out of 10, they will not be PERFECT.

I wasn't looking for perfection, just significant improvement, and a nice looking smile, and I got just that and am quite happy with the results.

Your ortho should tell you right off the bat what can be accomplished and what can't.

Oh my god what a difference your teeth look amazing. I cant wait to start my treatment after looking at your end results.

Thanks Fred, jennicakes and ems. Sometimes I got really disgusted and fed up with the process, but in the end it was all SOOOOO worth it!

I had a 4.5 gap to close and I've seen (on forums) bigger gaps in front teeth closed with Invisalign. Placement of attachments and compliance were crucial in my case. My ortho told me right from the beginning I needed the attachments to keep my front teeth from just tipping into the space. I wanted this for 30 years so I did everything my ortho told me and more. I was gonna make sure this worked!!!!! I think that's where the skills of an orthodontist come into play! It seems to me gaps from extractions are the problem with Invisalign. I'd have a hard time letting them pull a perfectly good tooth. I'm sure moving molars is much harder too. Invisalign isnt perfect at fixing all things but thats where you need to research and be informed. Use an orthodontist, be aware of and willing to go into fixed braces, and make sure that is included with your intitial treatment price. Also, ask if retainers are included with that price! The best advice I can give is to read everything in this forum and know what you are getting yourself into. Knowlege is the key!
