Unsatisfied with Invisalign

#1 Post by bxzilla »

If someone who's been wearing Invisalign incorrectlyl(ike myself) and isn't satisfied like myself, is braces an option? my orth tells me i wont be getting any more refinements.

my bite is unconfortable i feel my front teeth lock, i cant feel my back! & after using Invisalign,my mouth seems sunken, my nose looks droopy2.

can braces be an option? is it possible to wear a appliance that can shift my teeth back the way they wear?

"If someone who's been wearing Invisalign incorrectlyl(ike myself)"

What do you mean by "incorrectly"?

Ahh, I see. Well then, I think traditional braces would be a great option to look into. Can't exactly forget to keep those on  Maybe ceramics would be something to consider, since they are a little more pleasing to the eye, from what I understand. Anyway, good luck!

I would like for my teeth to be straight of course but to shift back the way they were. i dont like how invisalgn has sinked my teeth, it makes my mouth look sunken. is it possible for braces or anyother appliance to do this?

If you still have all of your aligners just wear them in the reverse order, then your teeth will go back to the way they were before you started. OK, that's tongue-in-cheek. If you aren't satisfied, then find a doctor that will make things the way you want them. It's hard to tell exactly what you mean. We don't know how your teeth have moved with Invisalign.

It's really strange how Invisalign makes your bite feel. That could be what you're experiencing. I've just noticed this occurring (w/the trays in) on my second to last aligner. I'm hoping it will feel better once my treatment is officially done, and the attachments are off...But, right now, it feels like my top arch got narrower, and my bottom teeth are hitting the inside of the top.

I think the only real way to fix your bite other than surgery is to get some sort of traditional braces. Did you tell your dentist/ortho about your dissatisfaction with your results?

Wow, I've been thinking about your post since you first wrote it. Do you have any pics you can share? I know I was freaked in the change in my appearance for awhile and all I did was close a gap. Even though i hated the gap, when it closed I almost felt a part of me was gone. It would be interesting to see what you are talking about.

this was a mistake i never even needed invisalgn, especially when i heard it waz invisalgn express with a case of 9 aligner on top and 5 on the bottom my ortho shouldve told me that invisalgn was unnesisary

I tip my hat off to you. Wow, i am suffering from B.D.D. unfortunalty.

its the reason i had gone thru with this procedure. i have been suffering from it for 5 years, i had braces when it started(ironically), i took them off by myself, never finished them, so i thought let me try invisalgn.

sorry but i dont have any photos at this moment, i would love2 share with you guys!
