I'm to have my braces on for 1 year, then surgery then another year in braces.

10 months before, and its supposed to be 3 months after (I'm only 6 weeks out now though so not 100% on the debanding yet)

10-12 months before (although it may be a few months longer due to OR waitlists where I live). Then anywhere from 3-8 months after.

17 months in braces, surgery, then 4 more months before they came off.

I was in braces for 14 months..then surgery...and its been 2 months and 12 days and i get my braces off in 2 days!

i was jsut wondering how much it varied, im 9months in braces at mo and spaces are still closing grrrr im still hoping il be arounf the 12 month mark !

I was in braces for 19 months before op and 6 months after.

I'll be in braces for 5 months before my surgery. Shorter than most people, but I had braces twice before this time around. I'm still pretty lucky. The ortho thinks about 3 months before I get them off after the surgery.

I was braced for 13 months then cleared. Had surgery at 15months. Was told braces will be off 4-6 months after surgery. Ortho says I am very close
