24 hours post op

#1 Post by krikri306 »

So I made it through surgery!! It started yesterday at 11 and I had upper, lower, genio, septioplasty, reduction of turbinates, and removal of all wisdom teeth. I'm attempting to drink from a cup, but it's difficult with such swollen lips. I feel very swollen and have some bruising around my chin and on my neck. I keep getting nose bleeds, but that was expected. The pain isn't too awful surprisingly. Hopefully I get to go home tomorrow. It's just going to be a long five weeks on a liquid diet along with the splint and rubber bands. I'm assuming today will be the hardest though

But, apart from that, you didn't have much done, huh? Wow - you went for the full package deal there!!! And, especially considering that, you seem to be in incredibly good spirits.
Haha, I agree! I'm impressed too, I'm not even sure I know what all of those are!

My boyfriend had upper, lower and wisdom teeth done a couple of days ago. His first day was loads worse (I mean than his second, not than yours lol) so I hope tomorrow will be much better for you too and you'll be able to go home. His nose has been bleeding off and on as well, I haven't seen him properly yet without his weird nose bandage thing lol. Have you been feeling nauseous at all? Hope you're doing well and good luck with your recovery :)

I know you are glad its over! Day 2 was the worst for me. I wish you enjoyable smoothies (eggnog smoothies . . . yum!) and a speedy recovery.

I'm glad you sound like you are feeling pretty well. You should be feeling more and more "normal" every day now.

Take care!
