Three & a half weeks to go Joe! Are you more nervous or excited? Or the weird mix of both?

Any new takers to add their names to the May list? :D

I just found out last week that my surgery will be May 5th  Even though I knew that this day was coming, I did not know it would sneak up on me so fast since I had to constantly keep going back to my ortho to make sure my teeth were moving according to his plan.

I am scared to death :-((

Thank you Brinky! I have been on this site for a while but I have not posted anything because I was so jealous of all the members who have had their surgery. I know....stupid huh

I am having surgery on both jaws now! I was only getting the upper jaw but when the oral surgeon lined up my teeth my lower jaw was still not lining up with the upper. He said that it is better to have it done now rather than come back in a year or two and have the other done. It still should only take 3-3 1/2 hours to complete both.

I knew this day was coming but it is still a shock

Not looking forward to the soft food diet for six weeks and I am going to miss the whole season of softball :(

Ctoler, Not stupid at all! I think the frustration of waiting, waiting and not being able to chime in with personal experience-based reassurance just makes time go soooooo slooooowly sometimes. Just absorb~ a sponge!

Oy, nothing like last minute changes, but if you're going throught the whole process you might as well get it done right~ 12 more days and you'll be on the recovery end. Beautiful word, recovery :D

Thanks, zoeandnimo! And great to hear things are healing well for you

You are soooooo right! I know the waiting is the worst part. Now I just want to move fast forward and know when these darn braces will be off :D Hopeful only 4-5 more months after the surgery and I will be brace free.......I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Needless to say I will be on this site more next week seeing that I won't be able to talk to my buddies on the phone

Lost in the limbo land of recovery! How can time go soooo slowly and so fast at the same time? Thank you for checking in on us :D

Recovery for me is going great, in that it sucks in all the usual predictable ways with no crazy suprises, . The last few days were pretty tough emotionally but really feel like i've hurdled "THE WALL" and it's slow and steady wins the race from here on out.

How about everyone else?
