Inman aligners

Hey Buzz,
Your photos do come up if you paste the link into your browser - the results are brilliant!!! How long did you have yours in?
I've had mine for 3 weeks so far and visited my dentist yesterday and was astonished to hear that I'm almost done, mine was to close a gap in my two front teeth which it has done already! I've to go back next week and then things are looking like they're nearing completion.
Well worth the pain for the first few days and the spitting when speaking and the slurping, etc.
Well done, they look fantastic - now if I can figure out how to post photos I'll do the same

Hiya, yeah after I go back next week, he'll take impressions (carefully!!) and then a thin wire will be fixed to the back of my teeth to stop them migrating again - oooh the excitement of the dentist eh!!!
Once I figure out the photo thingie, I'll post some photos and scare you all at how bad they were!!!!

Buzz: Your teeth look amazing! Pat on the back Simon eh?!
After chatting with a few people on here re the length of my treatment I decided to email my dentist. He said that I can either have a go at the impressions again for the clear retainers (last thing I want to do if I am totally honest even though I would love a clear retainer) or just stick it out with the inman aligner until the ligaments that hold my teeth in place have reduced back to their normal length.
New members to the Inman Aligner Elite.... even after wearing the aligner for 7 months I still cant say 'S's' properly!
Keep smiliing... (Brace face is the best for scaring pervy old men!)

Hi MUFC, yeah I've mentioned it a few times, and it really does work. Your speech is not perfect but it is hugely improved. I was a little afraid that it might interfere with the mechanics of the aligner, but my teeth have moved alot in the last 7 weeks so I needn't have worried. My dentist gave me a load of it, so I haven't had to go looking for it. I'm back next week so I'll ask him then where he got it.MUFC wrote:Hey all, keep posting! I've read a couple of postings about a wax for your palate to help speech? Does it help guys, and if so where do you get it? Went back for check up today, didnt get tightened, boohoo. Still feels a bit loose but supposeably goin grand. Keep smiling people!
Buzz your teeth are fantastic. Did you get whitening as well and if so, what kind??
Gutted
Went for check-up today with the expander. Had it in for four weeks and really struggled on with it, especially with the speech. Turns out the brace had been sitting wrongly and had been falling down, so it was actually visible behind my teeth. Set me back four weeks in treatment. Little progress made at all. Am gutted because I can't really wear it much at work because of the speech problem and I'm leaving the country in September, so time is tight.

hello! I am new to this site. It is so great hearing how everyone is getting on. I got my inmann aligner in on Thursday and so far no problems. My speech is really awful though so I dont think I will be able to wear it in to work. I am a teacher and really dont think the kids would understand me. Does it get any better?
