I've had my braces on for thirteen months now and will probably have to wear them for another year or so. About a month to two months before I had my metal bands put on I had a small filling on the side of top molar. It hurt when she squeezed the band on and I never thought anything about it afterwards since the pain stopped. Since then I have had another filling on the same tooth around that same filling but very small. He put some stuff around it or on the band itself (I can't remember) so the filling wouldn't stick on the band. My question is when he takes my metal bands off will he also pull out the filling(s)? I'm definitely going to ask him this before he starts pulling because I know what it's like to have a filling pulled out. Anyone have any trouble with bands, brackets, etc and fillings?
I don't know the answer, but I have tons of fillings, and I have metal bands around the teeth. As llong as the ortho doesn't pull out my teeth, I am not going to worry about it.
