Face Skin post op questio

Yes, it does go away. It's not a big deal--just some acne and/or other minor skin issues. No worries. :D

For what I know, doctors inject high doses of steroids so your face don't get very swollen after surgery, steroids cause the skin problems.

I am 13 days post surgery.... my face looks so horrible with the little white pimples all over my face.

I don't think my surgeon gave me any steroids... how come my face is acting up so bad.

When will they go away

Any ideas? :(

Quoting an oral/maxillofacial surgery practice: "During and after surgery large doses of IV steroids (Decadron) are administered to help prevent swelling in the face and neck." I'm sure you'd have a very difficult time breathing if steroids weren't administered.
