Heading towards the end of my treatment.
No matter what the ortho has done,my upper right center tooth just does not want to be straight. And my upper arch does not meet my bottom arch at the front 4 teeth.
I have included pics and would really like constructive criticism. Please ignore the non-whiteness of my teeth, will get them whitened after braces are off.

Thanks for the input!

The only thing I see wrong the the front teeth on upper arch are flaring upward when the should be downward. Frankly unless you really show someone when the braces are off, they probably won't see it in pictures taken.
There is no open bite there whatsoever. What she has is a slight overjet(though it looks to be within "acceptable" range, but i am sure your ortho can correct some more)..
I can't see what constructive criticism anybody can give you as you have already pointed out the only minor issues there. Your teeth look really good!

I guess i what to hear what other people have gone through and if anyone has had the same problem as me and what their ortho suggested and what they ended up doing to fix the problem.
My ortho has placed in bends and fiddles with different wires wrapped around the brackets, powerchain off and then on - he's been working on it for a few months now and it doesn't seem to be improving.
When I first voiced my concern about the front flaring out he decided to lift the 4 front even more. he said it would make them all even and then he could work with it. The next month, he placed a bend to make the center tooth rotate angle and removed powerchain. This caused a space so the next month. He did a wire lace around the front 4 and extra wire around the bracket on the problem tooth and again with the bend. This made the teeth move inward too much and w/o change in angle. Now he just has powerchain and a bend to fix the tooth.
I'm just unsure of his "refinement" skills. Would like to hear your similar experiences.
Thanks!

You have an overjet, a gap between top front teeth, and top right central incisor is rotated. The wire bend between right central and lateral should fix rotation and powerchain should close gap. I think those things can and should be fixed and sounds like they're being worked on. Sometimes it's an iterative process. Are you wearing elastics -- might help correct the overjet. I don't know how much that can be improved but it's a conversation worth having.
Personally, I'm dealing with a powerchain to close some small gaps, and said powerchain caused tooth rotation. The rotation will be addressed next once gaps are closed, with yet another wire bend. I have some overjet too and wear Class II elastics from upper canine to lower 1st molar to pull top teeth back and bottom teeth forward (these at night only). I also wear triangle elastics on top 1st and 2nd premolar and bottom 2nd premolar to help correct my overbite and probably to help overjet too (these as much as possible). Then there is a mess on bottom of still rotated teeth and current work in leveling them.

Braced for 2 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 5 days (the 2nd time ‘round)
Hawley on top, Essix on bottom
ops, you're right, in my first language we use the same base term for lack of closure of the bite, so something was lost in translation.UGHBRACES wrote:There is no open bite there whatsoever.
