It sounds like I had a very similar mouth sore that you have. It was horrible and it hurt so badly and it felt like it formed around my bracket so every morning I would have to pry it off, it hurt so much! I found if I rolled the wax into a little ball and molded it around the bracket it helped the wax stay on, and I used Orajel on the sore which numbed it (and my tongue!) for a little while so it wasn't so sore. After a week or two the sore went anyway. The one good thing about the sore is it meant my teeth were moving and irritating new parts of my mouth, but I sure was happy when it healed!

Thanks Margie! The sores are finally easing off, thank god.
Only a few small ones left in there now, but lord knows they'll all be back next week after my 2nd adjustment

my 2nd adjustment tomorrow

About time too, the wires are so loose, i can litterally bend them with my tongue, so i may have to mention this tomorrow to see what he says

I cant wait for them to be tight again, i've been feeling like nothing is happening cos the wires are so lose! However, i do have a TIIIINNNYYY new gap on the lowers, so i suppose thats something...

I felt the same, my wire was really loose and I felt it wasn't doing anything and now it's tightened I feel I'm back on my way again

How are you adjusting to your new student life?

I'm all tightened up now

had my 2nd adjustment, finally got a new wire on the bottom, although he didnt say what size it was, however its a fair bit thicker.
the uppers were just tightened, but he said next time i go i'll get a new wire on my uppers too

I'm very happy, i feel like i'm on the move now!!
Next adjustment is in 7 weeks on 23rd Nov, they couldnt fit me in any sooner cos of me living so far away, i need it to be on a monday

& Ladybird, i'm loving my student life, apart from the lack on money

Picture time!

So this was when i first got my lowers on, 22nd June

& this is my teeth now, 4th Oct

I'm so happy! Theres still that stupid persistant gap on my uppers [you can see on this next picture], which will hopefully get on the move soon...

This was my lowers before braces

& this is them now..4th Oct

So much change!

However, they're not perfect yet, those 2 awkward ones from the begining arent totally aligned yet, but theres been a few new gaps here & there between them, so they're still on the move & hopefully this new wire i've got!

Thank you so much! I was actually suprised when i compared pictures, especially of the uppers, i thought they were doing nothing hehehe! Shows the importance of taking pictures, i cant believe that those were my teeth, they look so bad when i spent so long telling myself that they were ok, but at the same time i cant believe the after pictures are my teeth too! Especially when i spend so long going "move damn you, why wont you move?"

I hope you get your lowers soon, but remember its all about the end result & you'll get there in the end

LOL!!!! It's a shame. I've only had braces on my uppers for 12 days and I do the same thing.

I'm sure your teeth look awesome but I can't tell right now because the pictures are blocked (gotta love company security). So uh...keep up the good work!!!

In the meantime, I'm gonna find a more non-secure computer. Thanks again for stopping by my page!!!

ooohh joy, the sores inside my mouth are back, with force!!
I suppose its a sign things are moving, but blimey o reillys trousers i hate these, they hurt so bad!

& my lowers are sore, they're on the move too, so as much as i want to be upset they hurt so much, i can't be...
But damn i wish they'd move without so much pain

it'll get better for you Emms, i see you're already on day 3, by day 4 it really subsides!

my pains totally gone now, & the adjustment pain isnt half as bad as the initial pain, so dont worry, its all up from here for you ;]
