hi..
i wanna know 3 things
1. that's the "accepted" overjet? how big? 1mm, 2mm?
2. how long it will take (approximatively) to fix a 4-5mm overjet with elastics? how many months? (my teeth are straight now, almost 8 months in braces. i had no overjet at start, but i have now)
it needs to be reduced to a 0mm overjet, or 1-2mm overjet is allowed?
3. let's say... what could happen to a person that finishes the treatment earlier, remains with an overjet like 4mm, wears his retainer like it should. what can happen?
(not planning to do that, just wanna know)
thanks

Re: overjet questions and estimate
I'm glad you posted this.. b/c I had the same question before and I don't think anybody answered. Maybe some of the orthos that come here sometimes can answer? I have an overjet too, which I too didn't have before I started. My bottoms have been retracted and now I have my tops to be retracted and right now I have a pretty big overjet.. I think it's about 7-8 mm! Yikes..haywire wrote:hi..
