On my first day wearing braces, my ortho gave to me:
Emergency kit (including wire cutter!!)
Yards of floss
Silicone and regular wax
Dental mirror
Toothbrush
Interdental brushes
Floss threaders
Lip balm
Plaque detection tablets
Travel case, including dual end toothbrush, timer (with real sand!), more wax, proxy brush....
Scary booklet on keeping the toofers clean
Annnnnd.... my payment book!
I got a pretty crappy gift bag compared to some of the things other OD’s gave. I got:
- Soft Ortho toothbrushes, 1 regular with a proxy brush on the end & 1 travel size
- Floss threaders – No floss
- One pack of wax
- 1 proxy brush
- Instructions on how to properly brush with braces
- A cheap water bottle that is broken already
- A sand timer
- A mouth mirror (the little one on the end of the stick)
And everything was blue.
Luckily I bought so much stuff from every drugstore that I’ve passed in the last few weeks. And my dental Kit came yesterday. So I have more than enough stuff now. lol
I was told I'd be getting a gift basket. Not! I did get a gift bag with:
1. 3 packs of wax
2. 3 proxy brushes
3. Travel brush
4. Regular toothbrush
5. Bottle of fluoride rinse
6. Floss threaders
7. 1 travel floss (shreds easily)
8. Pictures of what my mouth will look like if I don't properly brush...ugghhh!
& that's it. No tshirt. I was really hoping for an electric brush. I have one but one to take to work would be nice. Have to save up for one & portable waterpik. My mouth just didn't feel clean without them. I think I might be a little obsessed. I brushed my teeth a trillion times yesterday. I see why people just give up & stop eating.
i think she gave me an infaction i had my last adj on friday and o saturday i woke up with herpes on my lower lip or it's just a coincidence (she used gloves like usual)

4 Wisp toothbrushes that are pre-pasted and have a awesome pick on the other end.
1 $10 itunes gift card I can earn more by good oral hygiene (even as an adult were still able to get them)
But no T-Shirt =(
And when I dropped in to get a wire snipped they gave me a few things of wax and some Burts Bees lip balm.
