BRACED TODAY AT 34!!!!!!!

I have my plate out - thank goodness - and the braces are on - the waiting is over!!! It has been nearly two hours and no pain yet. They are ceramic on top and dont look or feel as bad as I thought!!!!!

Diagnosis:
-Class II division II type malocclusion
-Severely deep overbite
-Upper Left Permanent Cuspid is Impacted
-Midline deviation

Treatment Plan:
-Full banded appliances
-Lower lingual arch
-Extraction of upper left deciduous cuspid
-Re-evaluate the need for extraction of upper left first bicuspid
-Exposure of the upper left permanent cuspid will be necessary

Estimated Treatment Time is 24 months

Congrats! I got mine on last year when I was 34 and am now 35...at least now I have about half of my payments made...maybe about a third of my braces time in. I have ceramic tops too.

Congrats....I am 31 and had some put on.

I noticed that a lot of adults are starting to get them now!!

Thanks for all the great replies - it is great to know there are others out there exactly like me :D It has been a rough two weeks with very sore gums but all in all it is getting better but still can get embarrased at times - just gotta think about the end result! Not seeing any change yet but I think I am looking too hard too and its very very early days!

Congratulations! I was braced at 34 also! The time passes quickly and you will have a wonderful smile. I only have a few months left. Before you know it, you will too! Welcome to the braced in 30's club!!
