I brush 3 times a day, after each meal. Braces have made me not want to eat in between meals due to the pain in the neck it is to clean them...which is a good thing, I guess
32 years old, total time in braces=30 months

-Braces and palate expander on 4/15/10
-RPE Surgery 9/15/10
-Expander removed 3/11
-Braces Removed 9/7/12
-Retainers in 9/7/12

No!!! Not insulted at all: sorry if I gave that impression. And always willing to learn something new, so if there's a trick for not getting food stuck then I'm glad to hear it. I do sloosh with water, though, and still find it doesn't get rid of absolutely everything. You must just be a neater eater :) !!

I don't know if it falls into "trick" chategory or if everybody is already doing it, but if I am eating a half-sandwich (bread with something, like cheese) I turn it upside down, so the stickier food hits the bottom, un-braced teeth first. It help me!
