PowerChain and Mustard

I got a new power chain 4 days ago. I switched from the clear...stained a lot!...to pearl. It was so pretty and white! After eating a sandwich yesterday...with mustard I might add....I went into the bathroom to get the bread out of my teeth, and to check out my new pearly white power chain. It's yellow now! It's a bright and sunny YELLOW! UGH!

Oh, what a drag! Well....now you know to avoid mustard. Try pleading your case to your ortho and see if they will let you come back in to get it changed.

just got a clear powerchain 9days ago, she told me to avoid curry, mustard (both have tumeric in them I think)--as well as lipton soups and red wine......I drink coffee and after 9 days I can see it's starting to stain a bit. I had 6 weeks scheduled b/t appts, but they can change my ligs anytime--my goal is to get it changed at 3 weeks.........the tech told me the tooth colored powerchain does not stain too badly and looks good with clear brackets.....I am going to try that one next.

Anyone know how much red wine it takes to stain a clear powerchain? is it just 1 glass? I am going to do some experiements before we go on vacation this summer, so I know how much I can have safely, without staining!!

I just got a powerchain on 2 days ago...my ortho highly recommended silver because the clear stains quickly. I have silver on...hate it (I have clear braces) but I guess it won't stain.

haha, i hate that!
half the time when i get a new powerchain we have curry for dinner within the week!

My colour ligs still stain depending on what version of curry i had eaten. I've had dark green and dark purples get stained with yellow..

I had for the last 4 days pearl powerchain on my upper 6 front teeth and it looks just as good like in the first day. It's true....I never bite into anything, I cut my food into pieces. I really like this color because I have ceramic brackets and the only really visible thing was the archwire, and that is now behind the powerchain.

I just got my first powerchain 4 days ago, I went with a clear powerchain. So far no staining but I have been watching what I eat.

I go back at the end of May for another adjustment so I figure I should be okay until then ... I hope

Is yellow the only color a power chain stains to?
