Retainer with Invisaligne?

I was considering ceramic braces but am now leaning towards clear aligners but i'm a bit confused....
Once ceramic braces come off you get a retainer, do you get a retainer of some description with clear aligners? If not, how do you ensure that your teeth don't move again in the future?

I think that an invisalign retainer is provided, but yes, definitely a retainer is needed after invisalign.
