I know this is not a great picture but I have a cheap camera and I was unable to get a good close up shot. What you are looking at is a picture of my front teeth taken with the camera below my chin and pointing towards my upper teeth. When you look at my teeth at a right angle they look fine, but when you look at them from the angle shown below you can see that the right side of the upper and lower arches don't meet perfectly. I know that when it comes to almost anything in life you can't demand perfection, but what bothers me (asides from having an uneven bite) is that this gap exists only in the right side of my mouth. The left side is fine. It's almost like the upper tooth next to my upper right front tooth was not pushed back enough.
My braces were removed a few weeks ago and I noticed this problem since I got my retainers but did not say anything because I assumed that my teeth were still a work in progress. Is it too late to mention this problem to my orthodontist?

Definitely mention it to your ortho if you're uncomfortable, I'm sure you paid a lot of money for treatment and you have the right to be satisfied. What type of retainers did you get after? Your ortho may be able to make an adjustment with your retainer to tip the tooth, or if the retainer won't do it, maybe another appliance.
Did this happen only after your braces came off? I had (have) the same problem as well, but elastics helped close up the bite (it was only on one side, just like yours). Now that my ortho has me wearing elastics at night only, I find my bite opens up again during the day. It is very annoying and I'm worried that it will open up permanently when my braces come off. My ortho says this shouldn't happen.
Definitely talk to your ortho to see if he can adjust your retainers. Good luck!
