can you get away with only wearing your braces for like 12 hours a day.
Wouldn't they already have moved as much as they are going to move. i've been waiting six weeks and I have an appointment in another 2 weeks time so can you be a bit slack with them?

I really wouldn't advise it, you have done so well to get this far it is best to continue to wear them as much as you can. I had to wear the same aligners for 7 weeks whilst waiting for my refinements to arrive and then for my orthodontist to return from his holidays. I know it is a real pain, as they become almost loose and get grubby, but they really do keep the teeth held in place. I took mine out for 4 hours one night and they were really tight again when I put them back in. The teeth do start to move again i'm convinced. I only have one week of my refinements left now and next week I will be getting the bonded retainers fixed behind my teeth. I can't say that I am looking forward to that, but I can't wait to get these nasty buttons off, they are very uncomfortable when the aligners are out and drive me mad. - Stick with it

I had to wear mine full time while waiting for the new trays, which took 7 weeks. However, I have had friends with Invisalign permitted to wear trays only at nigh while waiting. It depends on the specific case. I have required a lot of vertical correction and pressure from my jaws could have pushed teeth back.
If you want to try night only, talk to your doc before trying it.

View this time waiting for refinement like the time right after braces are completed, and you're in retainers. Most protocols call for full-time wear of a retainer for the first "X" months. You may end up ok, but each person is different, and the amount/rate of relapse will depend on many factors.
Good luck!
