Hope your pre-op appointment went well the other day DrBlur
Wondering how RickC is getting along after the surgery too really, seeing as posting 2 hours after surgery was very very impressive.
As for myself, my swelling has gone down a lot since the begining of the week which is a nice sign really and kind of do look more normal except for a little bruising which is a yellowish colour Not so keen on that at the moment. Though I have managed to eat yoghurt earlier with a small baby spoon even though I did have to use a mirror to make sure it got into my mouth!
Tomorrow I have a appointment with my surgeon, so I'm hoping he is still pleased with way things are going with me. I'll check back later tomorrow and update everyone

Hi Everyone I'm back home now, not feeling to bad not had to have any pain meds which I have found quite surprising.
I've got a lot of swelling and have a chin that resembles judge Dread.
This wafer/splint thing is very annoying but i've got to put up with it for another week at least.
Glad to hear that everthing is ging well for you Stephie.

Hi everyone. Pre-op with the surgeon went fine, and then I had to see the orthodontist yesterday so he could put a spacer between my front teeth! (Yes, it looks as goofy as it sounds) so my surgeon will have enough room to cut into my palate...
Other than looking stupid, I'm just getting anxious for Tuesday!

Sounds like your doing well too RickC really No pain meds is surprising indeed, I have had to take a few sometimes but not very often really.
Surgeon was really pleased with my progress when I seen him earlier today. Only bad bit was he adjusted the elstastics because my bite was a little off so seems I'm stuck with these for awhile longer. I still have some swelling as well but no chin that resembles judge Dread yet
I can imagine what the wafer/splint is like, although mine is out and has been since the sunday morning after the surgery. Surgeon mentioned that he could get a better bite without the splint being in so I'm happy about that
Next appointment is either 23rd or24th to see the surgeon again and the orthodontist so seems my bite will be getting better from then onwards, can't wait for the day when I have no braces and everything is perfect
