How long did your ortho keep your RPE in for?

ah thanks for the professional information, do you recommend I ask my orthodontist to perhaps put in the braces on the top teeth that aren't in the way of the expander? I don't want to tell him what to do and perhaps seem like I'm undermining his plan or whatever by asking it, or should I just let him do whatever he thinks is best?

There are different expanders out there but mine is banded to my first molars and has a loop on the outside for the archwire to go through.
