Extraction gaps and time frames?

#1 Post by natalie90 »

How long did it take your gaps to close where they extracted teeth? I got 4 removed before i got my braces on in march and the top ones dont look like the gaps have even changed. It looks shocking but theres not much you can do about it really. Did anyone get their braces off before the time your ortho said they'd be on for?

I think it takes about 3-4mths to fully close the gaps depending on how well your teeth root response.

I had 1 lower front tooth extracted in march and by June, the gap has already fully closed up. The ortho didn't use a powerchain to close but instead use a loop mechanics on the wire.

The ortho said I could get my braces off 6mths shorter than the predicted treatment time. Yayy!![/img]
