The end is near as my ortho had told me. He said I might get the braces off before Christmas. But I still have concerns about my teeth and would like to get some opinions on here. You all have been a very helpful resource during my journey. Everyone here is very educated on braces and might see some problems that I myself cannot see.
Here is the starting picture before braces. I have come a LONG way. The improvement has been tremendous.
And then here are the current photos @ 2 years 9 months.
Smile
Full Front
Right Side
Left Side
Lower Arch
Upper Arch
My concerns are:
1. Right lateral incisor looks different than the left. Viewing from the front the right lateral incisor looks shorter, more behind and at a weird angle with the R front incisor. Ortho said it is due to the shape of that tooth being different and I could get cosmetic veener later.
2. There are some gaps here and there where the upper and lower arches meet. The one on the left between 2 canines are very noticeable a big black gap. It seems like the upper and lower are not fitting well together.
3. Ortho has no intention to fix the 2nd molars in the lower arch and they are tilted. The right 2nd molar has no molar band at all naked. I pointed out to him and he said he wanted to make sure they were straight in position with the 1st molars but he was not concerned about the tilting he did not want overcorrection.
4. Lower teeth are not leveled nicely as the upper. But I started out with deep bite might be teeth were not worn out evenly.
What do you think?
I am happy with the result as-is compared to what I started out with but I hope you all can help pointing out concerns so I get more bang for my bucks.
Thanks for reading

Regarding your concerns about your upper front incisors not looking alike...I was in the same situation, and I just asked my ortho to shave the tooth that was longer a little bit and make it look like his brother.
Looking at your pictures it seems that one of your lower front incisors is not in alignment with the rest of your teeth. To be more specific, the left one seems to be further back (towards your tongue). Maybe you should talk to your ortho and see what he/she can do about that.

Your right your teeth sure have come a long way. and look nice from the front but it looks like your going to have some real bite problems if the braces are taken off . I think your also right that there is still a lot of correction for the back teeth and look as if there not going to come together correctly, because of the different tipping of each tooth. I would get a second opinion before having them taken off. I would ask him to make a mold of your teeth now before the braces are taken off so you can see how those back molers are comming together on a model. It really shows up good in 3d
Your teeth look great. First thing is that I can see one side is a little more open than the other.. maybe you need elastics to pull the bite down. And then, a bigger one that I'm unsure your ortho can resolve at this point.. your midline is off from your top lip. It looks like it might be lined up w/your chin however I know for myself, I want my midline to be lined up to the bow on my lip and also my nose.
Can I be honest? Your pictures of what you have now, look like what I have now. Exept that I have one really rotated tooth at the bottom.
And I have only been a couple of weeks in braces. I would have consulted somewhere else in your area. May be you can find an orto that could fix whatever you do not like while you are still in braces at a reasonable price.

You have definitely come such a long way!
If you want that tooth large like the other one, then a veneer would be your best option. If you would rather them smaller, then I suggest shaving the larger tooth down to match the other one. It's up to you if you would rather those teeth small or large.
Unfortunately I don't think your top teeth will properly line with your bottom teeth unless you have a tooth extracted from the bottom front. Maybe IPR is an option too. After this is done it should get rid of any black gaps.
Just ask your ortho "Is there something we can do to properly line my teeth up?"
Hope this helps
