I got my retainers lastnight and am having one hell of a time trying to speak with them in since I sound like Daffy Duck. Does this ever get any easier?
My question is this... my bite was pretty messed up prior to my braces 2.5 years ago. In those 2.5 years with the braces and rubberbands, my bite came a LONG way even though not perfect since I was told the only way to perfect it would be jaw surgery which I am not undergoing. I'm very happy with it how it is now since it is close to perfect and so much better than it once was. I had a class 3 open bite prior. Will my Hawley's hold my new bite? I'm so afraid of a relapse.
Any advice or anyone who has had a success story?
